Day 1 : Shimla → Kalpa → Sangla
Travel: ~222 km | Drive Time: 8–9 hours
We start our day early from Shimla, heading deeper into the mountains for an unforgettable road trip experience. The route follows the scenic Sutlej River, winding through valleys and pine-covered hills, with stops at Rampur and Reckong Peo, the gateway to upper Kinnaur.
By afternoon, we reach the postcard-perfect village of Kalpa, known for its panoramic views of the majestic Kinner Kailash range. Stretch your legs with a peaceful walk through apple orchards, and soak in the crisp mountain air while watching the sun dip behind snow-covered peaks.
Later, we continue to Sangla, one of Himachal’s most beautiful valleys, where a cozy night in the mountains awaits.

Day 2 : Sangla → Nako

Get ready for a scenic and adventurous drive as we leave behind the lush green valleys of Sangla and head toward the arid landscapes of Spiti.

Day 3 : Nako → Dhankar → Gue → Kaza
Travel Distance: ~60 km | Drive Time: ~4 hours
Today’s journey is packed with history, culture, and breathtaking views as we explore the heart of Spiti.
🔹 Dhankar Monastery — Perched dramatically on a cliff overlooking the valley, this ancient monastery is a spiritual and architectural marvel. For those up for it, there’s an optional short trek (1.5–2 hours) to the serene Dhankar Lake, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery.
🔹 Gue Village Detour — Venture off the beaten path to the quiet village of Gue, near the Indo-Tibetan border. Here, you’ll find the astonishing 500+ year-old naturally preserved mummy of a monk — a rare and fascinating glimpse into Spiti’s mystical past.
By afternoon, we arrive in Kaza, the bustling hub of Spiti Valley. Spend a relaxed evening exploring the local markets and cozy cafés, soaking in the laid-back vibe and mingling with fellow travelers.

Day 4 : Kaza → Key Monastery → Kibber → Hikkim → Komic → Langza → Kaza
Start your day with a visit to the majestic Key Monastery, the largest and most iconic monastery in Spiti, perched high above the valley with stunning panoramic views.
Next, head to Kibber Village, famed as a potential habitat for elusive snow leopards in winter and one of the highest motorable villages in the world — a treat for wildlife lovers and adventurers alike.

Day 5 : Kaza → Chicham Bridge → Chandratal Lake → Manali via Atal Tunnel

Day 6 : Manali Local Sightseeing & Departure
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and get ready for a leisurely day exploring the highlights of Manali.
