Famous for its living root bridges, majestic waterfalls, crystal-clear rivers, and mist-covered valleys, Meghalaya offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, adventure, and culture.
ITINERARY (8 Nights/9 Days)
Day 1: Guwahati – Shillong (via Umiam Lake)
Pickup from Guwahati Airport / Station.
Highlight enroute: Stop at Umiam Lake (Barapani) – a picturesque reservoir surrounded by pine-covered hills.
Evening: Leisure walk & shopping at Police Bazar, Shillong’s bustling city center.
Overnight stay at Shillong
Day 2: Excursion to Jowai & Nartiang
After breakfast, head towards the Jaintia Hills region:
Tyrchi Falls (short halt)
Krang Suri Falls – turquoise pool with stunning views
Nartiang Monolith Park – largest collection of monoliths in Meghalaya
Jowai Durga Temple – 500-year-old temple with historical significance
Phe Phe Falls – scenic twin cascades amidst lush greenery
Laitlum Canyon – breathtaking viewpoint known as the end of the world
Overnight stay at Shillong
Day 3: Shillong – Mawphlang – Cherrapunjee
After breakfast, visit the Mawphlang Sacred Grove, a mystical forest preserved by tribal traditions. (Local guide charges: Half trek ₹500 / Full trek ₹700 approx.)
Continue journey towards Cherrapunjee (Sohra).

Day 5: Dawki & Mawlynnong – Return to Shillong
After breakfast, proceed to:
Dawki River (Umngot) – enjoy boating in crystal-clear waters.
Mawlynnong Village – awarded Asia’s Cleanest Village.
Riwai Living Root Bridge – unique natural root bridge.
Indo-Bangladesh border viewpoint.
Drive back to Shillong in the evening.

Day 6: Shillong Full-Day Sightseeing
Morning sightseeing:
Ward’s Lake – serene colonial-era lake & gardens
Lady Hydari Park – landscaped gardens and mini-zoo
Don Bosco Museum – vibrant showcase of North-East culture
Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians – Neo-Gothic church with panoramic views
Shillong Peak – highest point of the city with breathtaking valley views (subject to weather)
Elephant Falls – iconic three-tiered waterfall

Day 7: Transfer to Kaziranga
After breakfast, check out from Shillong hotel.
Scenic drive to Kaziranga National Park (approx. 6–7 hrs).
Evening at leisure to enjoy the resort ambience.
Overnight Stay: Kaziranga (Borgos Resort)
Day 8: Kaziranga Safari – Drop at Guwahati
Early morning Jeep Safari at Kaziranga National Park – famous for the One-Horned Rhinoceros, swamp deer, elephants, wild water buffalo, and migratory birds.
Post safari, drive back to Guwahati.
Overnight Stay: Guwahati
Day 9: Kamakhya Temple – Departure
Early morning visit to the revered Maa Kamakhya Temple, one of the most sacred Shakti Peethas in India.
Post darshan, transfer to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for onward journey.
