ITINERARY (5 Nights/6 Days)
Day 1 : Arrive Guwahati (Early Morning Recommended) – Dirang (300 km / 8–9 hrs)
Arrive at Guwahati in the morning and proceed by road to Dirang
En route, you will enter Arunachal Pradesh through Bhalukpong, where your Inner Line Permit will be checked.
Hotel check-in and freshen up
Overnight Stay: Dirang
Terrain: Plains + Hills
Day 2 : Dirang – Tawang (150 km / 5–6 hrs)
After breakfast, drive towards Tawang.
On the way, visit some of the most iconic attractions:Jaswant Garh War Memorial
Sela Pass (snow-clad and breathtaking at 13,700 ft)
Nuranang Falls (also known as Jang Falls, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Arunachal)
Overnight stay in Tawang.
Terrain: Mountains
Day 3 : Tawang – Bumla Pass – Tawang (Local Cab on Direct Payment)
After breakfast, set out for a full-day excursion around Tawang.
Bumla Pass (16,500 ft): Located 37 km from Tawang on the Indo-China border, this historic pass witnessed fierce battles during the 1962 Sino-Indian War. It is also believed to be the route through which the Dalai Lama entered India from Tibet. Often snow-covered, it offers a surreal, off-beat experience.
Sangetsar Lake (Madhuri Lake): A high-altitude lake formed during the 1950 earthquake, surrounded by towering mountains and tree trunks jutting out of the water. A deeply revered spot for Buddhists and one of the most remote lakes in India.
Pangateng Tso Lake (P.T. Tso Lake): Located about 17 km from Tawang, this seasonal glacial lake formed by melting snow is one of the most scenic spots in the region.
Return to Tawang for overnight stay.

Day 4 : Tawang Local Sightseeing – Bomdila (190 km / 6–7 hrs)
After breakfast, check out and explore the key attractions of Tawang before driving to Bomdila:
Tawang Monastery (Gaden Namgyal Lhatse): A 400-year-old monastery at 10,000 ft, home to over 700 monks. It is the second largest Buddhist monastery in India and the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama.
Urqelling Monastery: Another revered site, being the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama. Visitors especially flock here during the Buddhist New Year for blessings.
Tawang War Memorial: A 40-ft high stupa-like structure dedicated to the martyrs of the 1962 Sino-Indian War. The names of 2,420 soldiers are inscribed here, making it a place of deep national pride.
Later, proceed to Bomdila.
Overnight stay in Bomdila.
Terrain: Mountains
Day 5 : Bomdila – Guwahati (360 km / 8–9 hrs)
After breakfast, visit Bomdila Monastery, a peaceful monastery under the guidance of the Dalai Lama. Home to over 200 monks, it offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges, including Kangto and Gorichen peaks.
Later, drive back to Guwahati. On arrival, check in and relax.
Overnight stay in Guwahati.
Terrain: Mountains + Plains
Day 6 : Guwahati Departure
After breakfast, if time permits, visit the revered Maa Kamakhya Temple, one of the most important Shakti Peethas in India.
Later, transfer to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey.
